Mandarin

This week mandarin was a little different. Zoe taught us how to make blow art. The first step was to put a little bit of black ink and blow until it starts looking like a tree. The second step is get a cotton bud, dip it in yellow paint and make tiny yellow dots. The last step was to dip a cotton bud into red paint and make five petals around the yellow dot. Once its done it will look like a beautiful tree with flowers. I really enjoyed making it.

This week Year 6 students went to Wairau Intermediate.  We did things like wood tech, food tech and music.  At food tech we made a delicious mini pizza and at music I learnt about heaps of new instruments.
I only remember 3 of the teachers names. Their  names were Mr. Achari, Mrs Drake and Mrs Steven. I had fun, and am looking forward to going to Wairau next year.

Last week we started playing badminton.  A guy from Harbour Sports called Marney taught us how to play.  This week we learned backhand and hopefully next week we learn forehand. We also went in groups of 5 and were competing with other groups.  I had fun this week and am excited for next week.  Just a reminder tomorrow Year 6's will be going to Wairau Intermediate. If you haven't brought in a permission form in please do so.
