ROOM 4 WRITING

The model we wrote as a class

Recently our class has been making some poetry about a book called Jumanji that our class has been reading for the past 2 weeks. I would  like to share some finished poetry with you.

I felt the ground shake like an earthquake
I saw the bright lights turn green
I heard a horrible SCREECH as I pushed the brake
I saw big fat rhinos charging past me
I saw the dry dust blow past me
I saw a group of gigantic elephants taking big steps as they waved       their big trunks at me.

By: Shanaria Pillay

I heard the screech of the brake as the dust over looked the car.
I felt the ground wobble like and earthquake
I heard the deafening sound of drums but it was the rhinos
I felt dizzy and wearing as i rushed out
I saw the light change grass green
I wondered what that tape did to me.

Tennis

Last Week, and this week room 4 has been playing tennis with a professional coach,  he will be teaching tennis for the rest of Term 1.
We learnt about how to strike the ball, by using our back hand and forehand, and he talked about moving back to hit the ball easier.

Learning in Room 4

This term we have been discussing and writing about whether we should change the NZ flag.
This is what Rm 4 students voted for; 19 students voted for having the old flag, 5 students voted for changing the flag and 4 students didn't know.So here are some of the best reasons:

''No,  I don't think we should change the flag because over thousands of New Zealanders fought for the old flag.''

''Yes,because the new flag visually looks better, and its more unique compared to other flags.''

In week 4 we said goodbye to Aramaella for she was leaving for Hamilton.  Good luck Aramaella!

So in summary this is what Rm 4 thought, so thank you for reading
my blog and please continue to read future blogs.
